Operation Tomorrow will make regular transmissions in the form of downloadable EPs.

Each of these will contain tracks culled from the work of the Operation Tomorrow collective over a 2-3 month period.

The members (more a loose confederacy) of Operation Tomorrow meet together several times a week at Sean Carlin’s home studio.

Rarely are all the members at Sean’s at the same time. Rarely is Sean alone in his studio.

As members enter the studio, they try to quickly get a sense of the vibe of the night, patch and tune their gear, and start playing. At some point (usually without anyone knowing) Sean starts recording. The guy records everything. Sean tells us it’s done when we hear the fader fall and the volume dwindle. “Well, that was something”, somebody always says.

We sit, put on our smoking jackets, light a pipe, pour a brandy, and listen to what we created.

Sometimes we think “Holy shit! That was awesome!”. We’d like to share some of those “holy shit” tracks with you.

They are all impromptu recording sessions recorded for our own use. Not heavily mastered, no multi-track, none of that. Just from two outs on the mixing console. They contain blemishes. Flaws. But that, we think, is part of their beauty.
